Terms of service
Last updated: [DATE OF FIRST PUBLICATION]
These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“we”) for using HeySlide: the website, the apps and connectors for AI assistants, and the emails we send. By using HeySlide you agree to them. If you use HeySlide for an organization, you agree for it and confirm you may.
What HeySlide does
Creators publish decks. People who receive a deck, and the AI assistants they use, can ask it questions. HeySlide answers only from the deck and the sources its creator added, under rules the creator controls, and sends anything it can’t answer to a person. Answers are generated by AI models and can be wrong; each answer shows the slides and pages it came from so you can check them.
Accounts
- You can ask questions without an account. Publishing, saving your file and some features need one.
- You sign in with an email link or code, or with Google. Keep access to your email account secure.
- Give a real email address. Temporary or throwaway addresses can’t publish decks.
- One person per account. Don’t create accounts to get around limits.
Your content
- You keep ownership of the decks and documents you upload and the questions you ask. You give us permission to store, copy, process, display and transmit them to run HeySlide for you and the people you share with, including sending them to our model providers to read decks and answer questions.
- You confirm you have the rights to upload and share what you upload, and that answering questions about it, as you configure, is lawful.
- Answers you stand behind. Answers shown as “Approved by” you come from your own sources, under your rules, or were approved by you. You are responsible for what your decks say and for the rules you set, including any regulatory duties in your field (for example, rules on financial performance claims in franchise sales). HeySlide is a tool, not legal, financial or professional advice.
- The Gallery. If you feature a deck in the Gallery, it and its approved answers become public and may be indexed and used by search engines and AI crawlers. You can turn featuring off; copies already collected by third parties may remain.
- Takedowns. If you believe content on HeySlide infringes your rights, email support@heyslide.example with the page and your claim. We remove or credit content quickly. [ADD A FORMAL COPYRIGHT AGENT / DMCA PROCESS IF ADVISED.]
Acceptable use
Don’t use HeySlide to:
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or share content you aren’t allowed to share;
- upload malware, or files built to attack or overload our systems;
- get around rate limits, bot checks, spending limits or plan limits, or scrape the service;
- use HeySlide as a general-purpose AI service unrelated to the decks shared with you;
- send sign-in or other emails to people who didn’t ask for them;
- mislead people about who approved an answer.
We may limit, suspend or remove accounts, decks or links that break these terms or put the service at risk.
AI assistants
When you use HeySlide inside ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, that assistant’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of it. HeySlide receives only what the assistant sends to its tools. You can disconnect HeySlide from an assistant at any time.
Plans and payment
HeySlide has a free plan with limits, such as a monthly number of answers across your decks. Paid plans are not on sale yet; prices will be shown before you buy. [ADD BILLING, RENEWAL, CANCELLATION AND REFUND TERMS BEFORE LIVE PAYMENTS.] Payments are processed by Stripe.
Availability and changes
We work to keep HeySlide available, but it may be interrupted, and features may change. We may pause features to protect the service, for example when usage is unusually high. We will give notice of material changes to these terms by email or in the product before they apply.
Ending
You can stop using HeySlide and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access for a breach of these terms, with notice where we reasonably can.
Disclaimers and liability
[TO BE DRAFTED BY COUNSEL: the service is provided “as is”; disclaimer of implied warranties; limitation of liability (for example, to the amount paid in the prior 12 months); indemnity for content you upload.]
Law and contact
These terms are governed by [GOVERNING LAW AND COURTS]. Questions: support@heyslide.example.
